THE FACILITATORS

Anthony Esposito received the call from the spirit of Iboga to heal his depression, anxiety, and PTSD from his history of sexual abuse and addiction. His experience was so profound that it became clear he would dedicate his life to spreading the healing power of Iboga. In December 2013, he traveled to Gabon, Africa and began training with a 10th generation Bwiti shaman to be initiated as a provider of this powerful medicine. In July of 2015, he returned and went through the Rite of Passage. He has extensive experience leading ceremony, serving medicine, and guiding people through spiritual self-discovery. He is committed to building a strong bridge for people to heal, connect with their soul, and to help integrate the teachings of Iboga into everyday life. Learn more about Anthony at Awaken Your Soul

Elizabeth Bast serves as a yoga & dance teacher, mentor, healing artist, and musician. She studied at New College of San Francisco with an emphasis on Art and Social Change. Bast is the author HEART MEDICINE: A True Love Story, an intimate memoir about a healing experience with the sacred Iboga medicine. She has experienced the Missoko Bwiti initiation and Rite of Passage in Gabon, Africa, and is currently in an iboga facilitator training in the Bwiti tradition. She studies the medical safety aspects of iboga treatments with Jamie McAlpin, R.N., of IbogaSafe. Learn more about Elizabeth at www.ebast.net

Joaquin Lamar Hailey aka Chor Boogie is an internationally renowned visionary artist and muralist. He uses his voice and work as an artist to raise awareness about sacred plant medicines and drug policy reform. His iboga inspired paintings have graced the cover of the journal for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. Tricia Eastman is a pioneer in the psychedelic renaissance with a mission to inspire others to become their own "inner alchemists". Her holistic approach incorporates eastern philosophy, tantra, bio-hacking, soul retrieval, herbal medicine, mind body integration, archetypal mapping, meditation, somatic therapy, and shamanism . For over 15 years she has consulted for top-destination spa and retreat centers on novel treatments and best practices. As an medicine woman operating internationally, she curates medicine retreats in countries where use is legal. She is an experienced ceremonial facilitator of 5-MeO-DMT, a powerful psychedelic medicine from the Sonoran Desert Toad.  As an Iboga provider, Eastman has been initiated into the Mboumba Eyano tradition, trained in the Missoko tradition, and she has facilitated the psychospiritual Iboga program for Crossroads Treatment Center in Mexico.

Amber has supported Anthony’s work as a chef with Iboga Wellness in Costa Rica. Amber crafted a holistic approach to eating with her business, The Naked Bite, and to life in general, through the belief that balance is paramount. While deeply rooted in her veggies, she adopts a more ‘Qualitarian’ take on eating, and prepares all styles of food with healing in mind. Amber continues to explore herself through Iboga, and is grateful for the truth, wisdom and clarity that it brings.  In December of this year, she will be traveling to Gabon for her initiation into the Missoko Bwiti tradition. She currently spends her time between Costa Rica and Austin, Texas, and facilitates many aspects of the retreat environment. She feels blessed to have an opportunity to support others through their own healing process.

Medicines of Mexico- Sonoran Desert Toad 5 MEO DMT

Due to the popular demand of the last retreat we are starting a waitlist for the next retreat in October/November. Please send an email to triciaeastman@me.com to set up a consultation.

The Bufo Alvarius is one of the rarest of shamanic medicines on the planet, as it comes from the glands of the Sonoran Desert toad. The toad remains in hibernation underground for most of the year. During the rainy season, in July through August the toad comes out to find food and mate. In the glads of this toad contains 5 MEO DMT, which when vaporized creates a profound non-dual or state of no ego.

We will be offering a group experience that includes 3 one-on-one sessions medicine along with tesmecal, spiritual purification baths, and detoxifying foods for 5 days in the jungles of Mexico. All attendees will receive pre and post integration sessions to help integrate the experience.

Retreat program

The program consists of 5 days and 4 nights. The first day we will start with a group sweat lodge ceremony.  The second and third day will be dedicated to purification using different techniques to prepare the mind and body for the spiritual journey, including spiritual showers. Each participate will have scheduled sessions with the 5 MEO DMT throughout the day for each of the 3 days and given time in between to integrate their experience. Many choose to take advantage of the lush nature and springs, or go for a hike. Evening activities include a group cocoa ceremony. The last day and night will be dedicated to rest and final one-on-one integration interviews, according to each person’s needs. Departure will be after breakfast the following morning.

Dates, costs and location

Retreats will run from midday on arrival day, through to 9am on the final morning.

All attendees will receive preparation advice, and will be required to fill out a questionaire and make a deposit payment of $1500 in order to secure a place. Fulll payment is due on week upon retreat date.

The cost for the trip is $2,500 (which includes everything (lodging, food, transfers and all aspects of ceremony) except airfare, which is $500- $600 average.

Contact details and bookings: Tricia Eastman (triciaestman@me.com)

Location

The retreat will take place in a retreat center in Mexico, TBA with luxury accommodations and local organic detoxifying foods.

The toad

Many people who partake in this sacrament have profound shifts and describe their session as a peak mystical experience. This medicine carries a high dimensional frequency that creates profound healing experiences and can bring the oversoul or higher self into the body.

During ceremony I utilize a combination of Somatic therapy, ancient shamanic wisdom, and sacred music while working with the guidance of the source field to reconnect to your true essence, aligning you with your divine blueprint. Sessions last 90 minutes and I suggest allowing additional integration time afterwards.

5 MEO DMT from the toad has had reported benefits for PTSD, addiction, emotional traumas, and is profoundly psychically healing. The are a myriad of other compounds, including other tryptamines, in toad have been researched for their healing effects. For instance the Bufotenin has been reported to decrease inflammation in the body as a result of interactions with the cytocines, specifically interluekins within the immune system.

Mboumba Eyano Iboga Initiation

We are arranging our 4th group to Costa Rica on June 2nd to 6th. This is going to include 2 ceremonies with the holy wood, sweatlodge, special floral bath spiritual purification process, as well as blessing and healing in the Bwiti Mboumba Eyano tradition. All attendees will receive pre and post integration sessions to help integrate the experience.

Retreat programme

The programme consists of 5 days and 5 nights.
The first day is dedicated to arrival and orientation. The second and third day will be dedicated to purification using different techniques to prepare the mind and body for the spiritual journey, including sweating ceremonies and floral baths in the river.
Firstly, we will have a presentation on the ‘Bwiti tradition and Iboga’. During these 2 preparation days, the Nima will do a one-to-one consultation with each participant to understand their aspirations and/or problems.

On the third night we will enter into ceremony with the Holy Wood. Through the night we will travel, accompanied by the Sacred Harp, until the next morning. During this second day, Banzi’s (participants/initiates) will travel with the Plant, accompanied by live music, and the sounds of the forest.

The fourth day the programme is not fixed because it will depend on the group and their progressive return to the physical plane. Individual meetings will be planned in for each person so they can have an interpretation of their journey by the Nima. Some may eat the Wood again, some may not, but the ceremony and the journey will continue for a second night, albeit at a less intense pace than the first. This second ceremony is of rebirth and joy, to give thanks for life!

The last day and night will be dedicated to rest, according to each person’s needs. Depar- ture will be after breakfast the following morning.

Dates, costs and location

The Bwiti Tradition in Gabon

The Bwiti tradition came out of Ancient Egypt. It’s a branch of the Primordial tradition, the universal understanding from which emerged all the spiritual traditions of humanity. The Bwiti tradition is made up of a group of ancestral mystico-spiritual initiatory rites using the root of the sacred Iboga tree. It allows initiates to enter into other fields of consciousness and the spirit to travel to the sounds of musical instruments and sacred chants.

The Mboumba Eyano branch is part of the ‘Dissoumba’ stream, also called ‘the Mother branch’. It’s a mystical initiation par excellence. We understand by the term ‘mystical’ the personal and direct relationship with the Divine: the knowledge of SELF.
The primary aim is to help us to know ourselves, to know what is really our primary essence, to know the Divine within each of us. The secondary aim is to heal spiritual and physical illnesses, to help the person with any difficulties such as blockages in life, problems conceiving, work-related issues.
